What is die casting

Die casting is a process of metal smelting and processing. It is a casting method in which molten alloy liquid is filled into the cavity of a steel mold at high speed under the action of high pressure, and the alloy liquid is solidified under pressure to form a casting. It is somewhat similar to " Plastic Injection Molding". The main features that distinguish die casting from other casting methods are high pressure and high speed.

Die-casting molds must be made of hot mold steel. Commonly used steels include: H13, 8407, 2344, 8418, SKD61, DAC, FDAC, etc.
